Clean HDMI coming for 5D Mk III

The Canon EOS 5D Mark III moved video performance on from the Mark II in many ways (once we realised that the soft image could be sharpened in post!). However one huge moan was the lack of clean HDMI, especially as the Nikon D800 and D4's (and now more recently the new Sony A99) provide it.
It would seem Canon have decided to finally answer our prayers and announced a Firmware Update will be made available in April 2013 that will allow the 5D Mk III to output high-definition uncompressed 4:2:2 8 bit data without any embedded symbols or graphics. Time coding will also be output over HDMI to an external recorder such as the Atomos Ninja (or indeed the Ninja 2's we will shortly be stocking).
For still users, there is also an improvement to AF performance with the camera's central dual cross-type focal points now working up to a maximum f/8 aperture rather than the f/5.6 available at the moment.
Clearly, as soon as the update is available, all of our cameras will be updated.
