Going by the interest at the Broastcast Show, there is no doubt that this is the model that everyone wants to try. With true progressive 25p mode, new Exmor sensors, Compact Flash recording and interchangeable lenses (to mention a few of its new features), this is one very impressive HDV camcorder.
If ever there was a camera to cause a complete storm in the industry, this seems to be it! This camera has the attention of even diehard Canon fans. Since we started stocking them, they have been incredibly popular and we see no sign of this changing. We would advise booking early to avoid disappointment.
We ordered these ages ago and FINALLY they have arrived! We have had several requests for Chromakey equipment but all the options so far have been either way too expensive or just didn't deliver a simple and effective result. This kit hits the spot on all accounts. Incredibly simple to operate, in tests we found a complete novice could get brilliant results without having to resort to tricky lighting setups.
Those who follow all things photographic will know all about the 1D MkIII, probably for all the wrong reasons. Its introduction was somewhat turbulent with firmware issues but most important was the problem with AF sub mirror mechanism causing focusing issues - a disastrous situation for such a fast camera aimed at applications such as sports photography. For this reason, we held off stocking the camera initially. We now have the camera and they are the latest 'blue dot' release.
