Canon Log 3

A new Log Gamma, Canon Log 3 will be included in this release. This is not designed to replace or improve Canon Log 2, bur will add a third option. Canon Log 3 has the same black level as Canon Log with a very similar level at 18% grey, but gives more latitude in the highlight, realizing a DR of approximately 14 stops. Full details are still to be confirmed and will be shared when available. Canon Log 2 is still a suitable option for those users who intend to carry out high level post production with 15 stops of DR and previous advice is still valid regarding this option.

The XC10 will receive an improvement to the AF performance of the camera. Speed will be increased by x 2 whilst also maintaining focus accuracy.
