Nikon 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR AF-S now in stock

We haven't got a huge stock of big Nikon telephotos anymore.  Why?  Well we just don't have a demand for the fast primes.  They are big and expensive and with sensor technology on Nikon bodies getting better and better, the need for faster lenses is not what it used to be.  Witness the Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM | S.  Okay so it's f/5-6.3 but with image stablization and the ability to up the ISO on the sensor, shooting in low light isn't the hassle it once was.  Combine that with a huge focal range, excellent image quality and decent value and no wonder people like them.

But for some, if it hasn't got a Nikon badge on it, they aren't interested.  So here you go - the new Nikon 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR AF-S.   Whilst we haven't had much time with one in our hands, our good friend Gordon Laing over at Cameralabs has so do take a moment to read his review.

The lens is available for hire as of today - please see the detailed product page for more details and to check availability.
