The MC5 is very similar to the MC3 in allowing you to burn a DVD using a variety of sources. However, the MC5 has the ability to take High Definition off an HD Harddisk camera like the Sony SR7 and burn it straight to DVD in HD format (these can be viewed on Playstation 3's and most BluRay machines).
