Yesterday GoPro announced the hotly anticipated Karma drone. What we weren't sure was whether there would be new cameras - surely they would have been shown at IBC? Well, we have two and they will be with us in a matter of weeks. So firstly, the new GoPro Hero5 Session.
When the original Session came out, GoPro rather scored an own goal but pricing it way too high - a shame as they really are very useful. Lesson learnt and price dropped, they have proved very popular (I have a couple personally).
So the big news is that 4K recording is now available up to 30p. Equally good news is the inclusion of Image Stablisation - will be interesting to how it fares against the Sony's. GoPro have also added voice control to the camera - strangely enough, whilst sounding like a gimmick, I can think of times that could be quite useful!
Here are the official points -
