Next Generation Recoil rigs are designed for optimal balance and comfort when shoulder mounted or on a tripod. In a Recoil rig, the balance point needs to be directly over your shoulder which puts the camera behind you. This requires focus, monitoring and camera controls to be relocated forward, creating a lighter and shorter rig. Next Generation Recoil rigs are compatible with all cameras from a tiny mirrorless to a camera the size of a RED.
FS5 EVF Recoil Rig
Like the FS7, the Sony FS5 has a removable camera control grip. Zacuto re-positioned it using the FS5 Grip Relocator that includes a rosette that attaches to the Sony Grip. Together when installed on your rods you can get your grip anywhere in three dimensional space.
The Sony FS5 Recoil shoulder-mounted rig includes our VCT Pro baseplate, the FS5 Grip Relocator for the Sony FS5 handgrip,a 13.5" LANC extension cable, the FS5 Top Plate, and our Axis Mini for Sony FS5 which can be used with either the Gratical HD, Eye or the Sony LCD monitor with Zacuto Z-Finder.

VCT Pro – this baseplate has a sliding top plate for quickly removing the camera from the rig or fast len changes, a built-in, curved shoulder pad, a v-wedge tripod connector (with ¼” 20 and 3/8" 16 screw option). It has removable and extendable 6.5” iris rods and rows of ¼” 20 screw holes along the sides for accessories. It has quick release 15mm rod parts in the rear. The recessed rod mount offers maximum accessory capable space under your camera lens.
Rosette Grip Relocator - fully articulating Grip relocator with rod cap. Attaches to a single 15mm rod with a Zwivel mount that can be set at multiple different angles for comfort and ease of use. Relocates the Sony grip to your hand for recoil shooting. Includes a 13.5" LANC extension cable.
FS5 Top Plate - Designed to fit around the Sony top handle, this Top Plate gives you a side facing 15mm rod lock and multiple mounting screw holes.
Axis Mini for Sony FS5 - Attaches to the 15mm rod port on the Sony FS5 Top Plate to mount either a rosette mounted EVF like the Gratical HD or the Sony monitor itself. Adjustable positioning for shoulder mounted shooting or tripod shooting.
