Next Generation Recoil rigs are designed for optimal balance and comfort when shoulder mounted or on a tripod. With lenses and cameras being similar weights, the balance point approximately is where the lens meets the camera body. In a Recoil rig, the balance point needs to be directly over your shoulder which puts the camera behind you. This requires focus, monitoring and camera controls to be relocated forward, creating a lighter and shorter rig.
The Cine EVF Recoil Rig
The Cine EVF Recoil rig is compatible with the RED One, Epic, Epic Dragon, Scarlet, Blackmagic Cinema Camera, AJA Cion, Canon EOS C700, and Kinefinity Kinemax 6K. The universal fit and adjustability of our VCT Pro baseplate and other accessories means this one rig easily fits all of these cameras. It includes the VCT Pro Baseplate. Inspired by traditional ENG cameras, it will help you achieve ideal balance and is universal for all cameras. A Zgrip Zwivel fully articulating handgrip rounds out the front of the rig.
Includes:
VCT Pro – this baseplate has a sliding top plate for quickly removing the camera from the rig or fast len changes, a built-in, curved shoulder pad, a v-wedge tripod connector (with ¼” 20 and 3/8" 16 screw option). It has removable and extendable 6.5” iris rods and rows of ¼” 20 screw holes along the sides for accessories. It has quick release 15mm rod parts in the rear. The recessed rod mount offers maximum accessory capable space under your camera lens.
Zgrip Z-Mount Zwivel – fully articulating handgrip with rod cap. Attaches to a single 15mm rod with a Zwivel mount that can be set at multiple different angles for comfort and ease of use.
Recoil Handle – this solid top grip attaches directly to your camera with an included 5" Z-Rail. The Recoil Handle can accept two coldshoe accessories and has a quick release 15mm rod port.
Axis Mini - Attaches to your rig via a required 15mm rod port at the top of a kit positioned perpendicular to your camera lens. Slide the Axis Mini into the 15mm rod port and clamp into place. The Axis Mini attaches to the Gratical HD via a secure 1/4" 20 rosette mount.
