So we were accused (quite fairly) on not updating our Lumix lens range to include some recently released models. It's time to make amends and so the the first of them have arrived - the 12-35mm f2.8 II ASPH Lumix G X Vario Power OIS and the 12-60mm f2.8-4.0 Leica DG Vario-Elmarit ASPH Power OIS.
Both were announced at CES at the beginning of the year and to be fair, haven't taken that long to be released. In fact, 5 lenses were announced with these two arriving first. We are still awaiting arrival of the Lumix G X Vario 35-100mm f/2.8 II POWER O.I.S. Lens, the Lumix G Vario 45-200mm f/4-5.6 II POWER O.I.S. Lens and the Lumix G Vario 100-300mm f/4-5.6 II POWER O.I.S. Lens. These should be with us shortly.
All of these lenses support the new dual IS 2 system found in the new Panasonic GH5 and Panasonic say that they have better weather sealing. I can happily vouch for that, having spent a week shooting with them in temperatures ranging from -4 to 38 degrees, in sandstorms and pouring rain. They strugged it all of.
Panasonic have recently also announced the DG Vario-Elmarit 8-18mm f/2.8-4 ASPH. that is also due to be with us shortly.
