Whilst of course an excellent choice for product and food adverts, macro lens offerings also allow everyday objects such as shells, flowers or food to become other worldly, and tiny bugs and insects can be transformed into giant monsters from outer space! You don’t necessarily have to be close to the subject either – a longer focal length such as a 200mm macro will allow you to create intimate, detailed shots from a distance, which might be preferable if you are shooting creepy crawlies!
