NEWS: Sigma Introduces 3 new Lenses to its Contemporary Line

Sigma adds 24mm F3.5 DG DN C, 35mm F2 DG DN C and 65mm F2 DG DN C to their contemporary lineup.

Sigma 24mm F3.5 DG DN C

The SIGMA I series introduces compact, beautifully designed, high-performance optics for mirrorless camera systems. In its first collection, SIGMA introduces a 24mm wide-angle prime to the Contemporary lens line-up that offers excellent portability and versatility.

The all-new 24mm F3.5 DG DN | C offers a very compact design similar to that of the 45mm F2.8 DG DN | C. Despite its small size, there is no compromise on performance – it is capable of capturing the finest details when shooting on high resolution full-frame cameras. With a very short minimum focus distance of 10.8cm and a maximum reproduction ratio of 1:2, it enables photographers to shoot freely without feeling limited by how close they can get to their subject.

Sigma 35mm F2 DG DN C

The classic 35mm wide-standard prime is a kitbag essential that most photographers would not want to compromise on, and this all-new I series model offers stunning optical performance with a wide F2 maximum aperture. Its modest size and weight make it portable enough to be carried around in a small kitbag for day-to-day shooting, but owing to its outstanding optical design and impressive build quality, it is equally well-suited to heavy professional use. The lens is ideal for street photography, astrophotography, portraits, weddings and video. It is designed for photographers and film-makers who value the experience of taking a picture just as much as the quality of the final result.

Sigma 65mm F2 DG DN C

With an unusual but versatile focal length that has been much loved by many photographers and film-makers, this 65mm lens is a perfect mid-point between standard primes and classic portrait lenses, and is ideal for any application that requires a short-telephoto focal length. Its outstanding optical quality can capture extremely fine detail even wide open at its maximum aperture of F2, and it produces large and round bokeh.

The lens’ all-metal body, which is a standard feature across all I series models, makes this a durable optic with an unparalleled user experience. From the perfectly precise click of the aperture ring to the satisfying snap of the magnetic lens cap attaching to the front of the lens, every element of this lens is beautifully designed and constructed with the greatest attention to detail.
