Nikon Releases Ver.1.3.0 of the NX Field Remote Shooting System for Creative Agencies

Nikon Releases Ver.1.3.0 of the NX Field Remote Shooting System for Creative Agencies

With Ver. 1.3.0, a tablet can be used to configure camera settings, check the live view displays of multiple cameras connected to NX Field at the same time, and perform operations such as starting and stopping video recording on a single screen. All of this can be done whilst simultaneously recording video with the Z 9. NX Field Ver. 1.3.0 also displays the view from multiple cameras connected in main/secondary view. This makes it easier to perform precise operations such as focusing and focus point selection, which creates a more efficient video workflow than was previously possible for a single photographer/videographer or small crew.

The new functions allow the master camera to have better control of remote cameras. The connection between remote cameras and the FTP server will be shown in the master camera’s viewfinder and live view display, for increased usability, while also displaying the status of the remote cameras connected. Fast and highly secure FTPS is supported and the types of images that can be uploaded have been increased to enable selection of “JPEG” or “NEF (RAW) + JPEG,” depending on network conditions.

Nikon will continue to provide updates for NX Field to support professional photographers and imaging creators who are active on the front lines of reporting and capturing decisive moments.t
