The transmitter and receiver units, use different types of battery. The transmitter unit uses LP-E6 or Sony NP type battery packs. The receiver uses V-Lok battery packs. Batteries cannot be interchanged between the transmitter and receiver.
The official range for this product as specified by Teradek is 750 feet (approx. 225m). This range is based on perfect conditions i.e. the receiver being in an elevated position, with 100% line of sight. These conditions are rarely achievable in real world situations and the achievable range may be less than stated. Every time the signal passes through an obstruction e.g. a wall, vehicle, person. etc – the signal will be degraded and the overall range will be reduced.
