Shooting Benidorm Bangers with the Canon EOS R and RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM

Shooting Benidorm Bangers with the Canon EOS R and RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM

One of our dispatch technicians, known as Chewett, is supporting her friend who is raising money for Parkinson’s Disease, by photographing the car he is using for a journey from London to Benidorm in aid of the charity Parkinson’s UK. Chewett is a self-confessed novice when it comes to being behind the lens, but she is always keen to get quirky shots whenever she can. Most comfortable with Canon, the EOS R was the perfect choice for this venture.

Over to Chewett…

I wanted to help my friend Tris by giving him some really good shots of the car, to keep and remember this event by. I have always enjoyed trying to get decent shots of cars, with an unusual style to them, but I have never had the camera to do so!

I wanted to try the Canon EOS R with the kit 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens as it is a very impressive new camera, but doesn’t overcomplicate things for a ‘dabbler’ amateur like myself. It was so easy to use yet still create images I’m really pleased with.

Being able to transfer the images straight to my phone was a huge help to, so thank you Canon for the app! The camera and lens combined were very light and the IS was fantastic.

I used the camera in auto mode throughout and all of these images are straight out of camera, with no tweaks in photoshop and I am really impressed with the results – both in terms of metering and colour rendition.
