PRO MOTORSPORT GEAR ON DEMAND: MAXIMIZE IMPACT, MINIMIZE OUTLAY.
Capturing high-octane motorsport content doesn't require a full broadcast crew, but equipping yourself with the right gear is essential to convey the raw speed, sound, and adrenaline of the track. The core kit for dynamic motorsport production breaks down into four key elements: a high-frame-rate camera for razor-sharp action and slow-motion playback, specialised audio gear with wind protection to handle roaring engines, fast telephoto glass for trackside reach, and heavy-duty stabilization or specialized mounts to keep high-speed footage rock-steady. By prioritizing these dedicated tools, you can deliver the high-impact visual polish needed to captivate racing fans and sponsors from your very first lap.
Hiring your motorsport camera setup rather than buying it outright provides massive financial and creative freedom, particularly when dealing with the demanding environments of track days and race weekends. Renting unlocks instant access to elite, high-value kit—including flagship 4K/8K cinema bodies, super-telephoto lenses, specialized gimbals, and rugged onboard mounts—for a fraction of the retail price, completely bypassing heavy upfront capital outlay. This flexible approach allows you to tailor your rig to every unique event, experimenting with different camera setups and focal lengths without being tied down by rapid equipment depreciation or aging technology. Please note: For camera models with interchangeable lenses, you'll find a lens tab on that camera's product page, so that you can easily find compatible lenses if you need them.

Fujifilm X-H2S
The 1.5x APS-C crop factor gives your telephoto lenses 50% extra reach (e.g., a 100-400mm behaves like a 150-600mm) without compromising speed or image quality.
Capture every high-speed overtake in crisp detail with video-centric mirrorless bodies and entry-level cinema cameras. Featuring high-frame-rate 4K/8K recording for buttery slow-motion, wide dynamic range, and reliable active cooling for long trackside sessions. Hireacamera offers real-time 24/7 availability and flexible UK hire options.
Sony FX3
Packs Sony’s flagship cinema-line performance into a ultra-compact, cage-free body. An internal cooling fan prevents overheating during long trackside sessions or extended pit lane shooting, while 4K 120p slow motion and incredible low-light capability make it unbeatable for dusk-to-dawn endurance race coverage.
Canon EOS R5 C
Combines the video toolset of Canon's Cinema EOS line with high-speed mirrorless autofocus. Its built-in active cooling fan allows unlimited 4K 120p 10-bit recording for ultra-smooth slow-motion replays, while Dual Pixel CMOS AF II keeps trackside vehicles pinned in focus.
Panasonic Lumix S5 IIX
Features Lumix's Phase Hybrid AF for fast vehicle tracking, paired with industry-leading Active I.S. stabilization. This allows videographers to execute smooth handheld panning shots and tracking moves trackside without always needing to mount a bulky gimbal.
Fujifilm X-H2S
Its ultra-fast stacked sensor virtually eliminates rolling shutter distortion (preventing slanted catch-fencing or skewed wheels). The 1.5x APS-C crop factor gives telephoto lenses 50% extra reach for far-off corners, and it supports 4K 120p internal recording for high-speed tracking.
Get up close to the trackside action with fast, high-performance lenses engineered for motorsport stills and video. Offers the classic focal range needed to shoot through trackside catch fencing while keeping image quality razor-sharp across the frame. Dual XD Linear Motors deliver rapid, silent autofocus for tracking high-speed vehicles in both stills burst shooting and smooth 4K/8K video panning.
Canon RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM
Pushes your reach to 500mm without the weight of a heavy prime, making it perfect for distant corners and spectator areas. Canon's Dual Nano USM motors provide high-speed AF for action stills alongside whisper-quiet, rack-focus control during video recording.
Fujifilm XF 100-400mm
This is a step up into professional, broadcast-quality audio. While it typically requires a separate audio recorder or an XLR adapter, it offers superior directional pickup and maximal rejection of side noise. Its ability to run on phantom power or a battery makes it highly versatile.
Panasonic Lumix S PRO 70-200mm f/2.8 O.I.S.
An excellent choice for vloggers and podcasters who record in a static environment, such as a home studio or desk setup. The NT1-A is renowned for its exceptionally low self-noise and a clear, detailed sound profile that flatters the human voice, giving recordings a professional, broadcast-quality richness.

With physical gain pads for extreme sound pressure levels and integrated Rycote shock mounting for smooth panning, it delivers clean, distortion-free motorsport audio straight to your rig.
Sony XLR-K3M XLR Kit
Combining a digital audio adapter with the ECM-XM1 directional shotgun mic, this cable-free kit mounts directly via Sony's Multi-Interface shoe for a snag-free trackside setup. The shotgun capsule isolates passing race cars from ambient track noise, while physical attenuation pads (-10dB/-20dB) and quick manual gain controls keep high-decibel exhaust notes distortion-free.
RØDE Lavalier Go All-In-One Wireless System
An ultra-compact wireless mic system built for fast-paced paddock reporting and driver interviews. The transmitter operates as a quick clip-on mic or lavalier beltpack, while the Interview GO adapter instantly converts it into a handheld microphone for on-camera race coverage.
